Good day Minister
I would like a meeting to propose assistance for senior citizens in the western cape and other provinces at large. I have taken a huge interest in the senior citizens who have been neglected due to them being abused by grandchildren and immediate family members. Having worked in the township of Philiphi, Nyanga in the Western Cape as a PA in the PR office and at the Sassa office as a Sapo assistant under a contract in the new cards I noticed the huge need to assist the elderly with the following.
-Medical assistant
They queue for medical treatment in the cold while becoming victims to criminal
Senior citizens are vulnerable and most homes they are breadwinners
-Sassa
Queues that are long with no immediate assistant
Relevant information on time
Compiling of documents
These are the few basic services they need and this can be a way to create jobs in the previously disadvantaged communities for unemplyed graduates and school leavers to assist nurses, officials and other basic services.
I am looking forward to approaching the gyms and health care stores to assist in prevention of Covid 19 and twice a month gym for senior citizen groups aswel as receiving vitamins and skin care product.
Please consider my plea for an interview as I am not looking for funding but ways to assist in implementing this assistance for elders.
