Good day Minister

Covid-19 is challenging us to do things differently from the way we have been doing them, we have to accept that it is here to stay at least for know while we have no cure for it. We need to acknowledge that the lives of our teachers and students is very important and we must protect them. For us to move forward and prosper we need the youth to be educated and for that we need them to go to school.

My proposal to you and your team is as follows:
We all know by now that the virus picks in winter, therefore we close the schools (winter holiday)
School term starts in spring (01 September)
Public holidays will work normal
Summer holiday (Christmas) 20 December to 02 January
February we write our mid year exams.
Easter weekend (Easter Friday and Easter Monday) Tuesday back to school.
July we write our final exams
School closes during winter after July exams.
