I am Jodie Leigh Michaels, co founder of the #SaveOurChildren campaign.

I believe that you have the key to saving our children. There are thousands of parents suffering severe anxiety because of their children having to go back to school, at the peak of a pandemic. And nearing the heart of winter on top of it.

So many parents are afraid that their children will have to be deregistered and then struggle to find placement for their children next year. This is not fair.

I have personally witnessed loved ones contract Covid 19, and as im sure you know, its not the same for everyone, but the symptoms are painful and scary nonetheless. A good friend of mine succumbed to the virus, so imagine my fear, having to send my 7 year old boy, who has severe allergies, to school. I cannot lose him. He is my world.

From one woman to another, have a heart. Shut down the schools at least until the curve has flattened and the weather is warmer. I fear their will be a war should parents lose their children to covid19. It will cause havoc. We cannot live in fear this way, its basically killing us before the virus could. We are afraid,and we need to protect our little ones. It is our duty.

Please, i am literally begging for you to right the wrong u did, by allowing schools to reopen. People are dying everyday. You will surely gain my respect, as well as the respect of millions out there.

I do hope that somehow this letter reaches u in good faith.
