Dear Minister Creecy,
I am writing to you as an ordinary South African who is very much concerned and aggrieved by the racist treatment that black South African motorists are subjected to. Motorists are forbidden from driving their vehicles with their families and who ever they wish to ferry in their vehicles because SANTACO squads are stopping and "fining" them on the spot.
This is very WRONG and illegal and it is very clear that SANTACO is failing to control their members. This thuggery behavior is not only wrong but racist because only black and colored people are subjected to this.
I am really scared to drive my own vehicle because of this. In a country where we suffer from GBV / Femicide these action from SANTACO condone violence and racism.
Minister are we supposed to all purchase guns in order to protect ourselves from taxi drivers? This is a distress call. Please intervene and do not be quiet.
Kind Regards
Maphoka
