I am the Executive Director of the Public Oral Health Forum, a not for profit organisation with interest in advancing oral health equity in South Africa. We understand that the South African Dental Technicians Council has appeared or is due to appear before the parliamentary committee on Executive Undertaking and Petitions tomorrow, regarding matters related to the CPUT dental technology programme. Our organisation is in possession of our own and publically available information alleging possible misconduct by the council, in relation to the matter involving the dental technology programme accreditation and student discremination matters before yours (CHE) and the committee alluded to above and others possibly falling outside of the committee.
