Dear Mr Leon Amos Schreiber,
On numerus occasions I reported to Lephalale Home Affair to apply for a new SA Passport Application and Naturalisation, to date not very successful. Lephalale Home Affairs gave me a copy of the Naturalisation Requirements.
1: Letter from country of Birth on a letter head signed and stamped stating that they allow dual citizenship and also a Police clearance from country of birth.
Lephalale Home Affairs stated that I need to go back to my country of birth and get the document. I told home affairs where must I get a police clearance in France, I've been living in south Africa for the last 56 years and I am retired since 2020.
2: Then Lephalale Home Affairs came out that my Permanent Residence Certificate was expired and request a new permit, my reply to home affairs was there is no expiring date on the certificate.
3: Then Lephalale Home Affairs came out that my ID document was illegal, but my ID document was issued by Lephalale Home Affairs 3 month before applying for citizenship.
4: My whole family {Mother and Father} were SA citizen with a SA passport and ID document. I'm the only want in the family that every time I applied for citizenship, Lephalale Home Affairs fine excuse not to support my needs.
5: Worked at Rossing Uranium Mine in Namibia for 8 years move to SA Lephalale worked at Matimba Power Station 34 years and paid my fair share in taxes.
6: Lephalale Home Affairs also required my parent qualification and my qualifications; I replied to Home Affairs my parent qualification will be difficult to get and why do you need my qualification if I am retired, I'm not applying for work.
I would appreciate if you could help with my issues.
Regards,
Mike Giuliani
