My daughter and her husband currently live and work in the UK. They are obliged to 'ow apply for UK citizenship in rder to be allowed to remain. They do not want to lose their SA citizenship and need to apply for retention certificates. It will be a lot easier and cheaper for them if I can hand their applications in on their behalf at a local home affairs office. However, I have encountered resistance from the staff at Roodepoort to my doing this. There is, however, an agency that claims to be able to do this for them for a considerable fee. Please could you clarify the position for me. I have emailed DHA but have not received any response.
