The Honourable Minister of Correctional services
Dear Honourable Minister Groenewald
I am writing to respectfully request that your office consider prioritizing the hiring of individuals who have studied Correctional Management, particularly those of us who have recently completed this qualification.
As a recent graduate in Correctional Management, I am disheartened by the lack of employment opportunities available to us. Despite having invested significant time, effort, and resources into acquiring this qualification, we are often overlooked in favour of candidates who may not possess the same level of education or training.
Furthermore, it is concerning that individuals without even a Matric qualification are sometimes considered for positions ahead of us. This raises questions about the value and relevance of our qualification. If it is deemed unnecessary or useless, why do universities continue to offer it?
I implore you to consider the plight of Correctional Management graduates like myself. We are eager to contribute our skills and knowledge to the field, but are struggling to secure employment. By prioritizing our hiring, your office can help address this issue and provide us with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our chosen profession.
I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and consider implementing policies or initiatives that support the employment of Correctional Management graduates.
I am looking forward to your response regarding this matter and hope that you will take our concerns seriously.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Noxolo Ndunakazi
