My name is Thabile Mkhize from Durban; a mother of two daughters (11& 13 yrs). I am currently unemployed but I hold a B Sc degree in Biotechnology, with 10 years laboratory experience, 4 years experience in fraud/ forensic investigation, and currently completing my Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Investigation and Criminal Justice, and I am a DJ (Deep and Afro House Music) with over 6 years performance experience.

I am reaching out with great humility and urgency, seeking assistance to help me overcome severe financial hardship. Our financial challenges have worsened to the point where I felt I had no choice but to resign from my work early this year, hoping this would help me settle our debts. Unfortunately, it did not, and we are now sitting with accumulating debt that I cannot manage, with people constantly pressuring me for payments.

For a long time, I have been trying to navigate this difficult financial situation, which has caused me ongoing stress, anxiety, and sleepless nights; sometimes I go up to two days without proper rest. These circumstances are taking a toll on my mental and physical health, and I am genuinely worried that, if not addressed, it could severely impact my academic performance.

Despite my efforts and determination to overcome these challenges, I continue to face setbacks that leave me feeling overwhelmed and emotionally drained. Adding to this, I was recently nominated as one of the top students to attend the 18th Annual ACFE Africa Conference and Exhibition in Gauteng, as a volunteer from 15 Sept 2025 to 17 Sept 2025. This is an opportunity I truly value with all my heart because it could open important doors for my career. However, I am deeply stressed because I do not have the finances to cover travel and accommodation costs. If there is a way that I could be assisted in finding a sponsor to support me in attending this event, I would be sincerely grateful.

I kindly request your support in either providing financial assistance to cover urgent debts and family; or support in securing income generating opportunities, such as employment or project based work that will allow me to earn sustainably and free me from the debt that is now beginning to depress me. I am willing to work hard and contribute, not merely accept assistance, and I am willing to provide a clear repayment plan or accountability framework for any assistance granted to demonstrate my commitment.
