Dear Sir,
I am a South African citizen with dual British citizenship. I am presently in Qatar and need to renew my South African passport. I contacted the embassy for an appointment and received a response, however, I am told that if I hold dual citizenship, I need to get a letter and a certified copy of my British passport from the British embassy. Why do I need to do this? I was born in South Africa. I am a South African citizen first. Can you please assist.
