Dear Mrs Abrahams, I saw that you are currently looiking into Sassa irregularities. As another concerned citizen I would just like to pass on some information, in September, October 2022, I went to apply for medical relief. The first time I travelled to the Bellville Sassa branch, and they where closed due to a systems upgrade, so i returned the following day. Here is my question, how much was spent on this upgrade and it's software, how can it be possible to upgrade things, when the services remain vounerable and the same fraud is still possible??? I also had an interesting conversation with an employee that was very helpful answering my questions, the non exsistant landline being one, and the other number never gets answered, you can't get any assistance online. I asked him why they bother then upgrading things and why dont they fix basic information that is printed on the forms they hand out like the pbone number. He told me in private that management is aware of all the isdies, and habe been for months, but nothing ever gets done. That in staff meetings these issues get raised and ignored. Even staff issues regarding salaries or promotions get ignored, in favour of a select few. Because the top doesn't do their duties, people applying for grants get incorrect or incomplete information, resulting in the application being delayed and the person now has to travel again to get all applicable information and then spend more money they dont have on transport and still no grant, thats why the queues are what they are becuse of insufficiency and adding yet another hole in the pocket of the poor. I am aware of all these sassa scandals, and this is the tip of the iceberg. Please could you look into how this so called upgrade was beneficial, who got the tender fof the software and installation. I know of other things with sassa or exploitation of sassa members, but i think this is enogh information for the moment, the other things could put me at risk. I hope you can run with this.
