To:
HON JULIUS S MALEMA,
South Africa Parliamentarian and
Leader,
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

Sir,
THE KILLINGS OF NIGERIANS IN SOUTH AFRICA.

I am Yilleng Victor Waksu, from Plateau state, Nigeria, of the western part of Africa.
I have lived to attest that Africa is blessed with its ambiance, tranquil and natural endowment of abundant vegetation with different faunas and floras.

The most important endowments and blessing is the gift of men spread across the length and breadth of the continent. We have the South Africans, Kenyans, Nigerians, just to mention a few.

Either of these nationalities and location, I believed we were meant to be brother's keeper because God created us in His likeness and importantly, our identical colour proves our uniqueness and oneness.
Based on this fundamental identity of one Africans, I came to know you through technological means, though. (Thank God for social media).

I became happier the day I encountered you because I saw a brother, youth activist, leader, mentor and Afro optimist.

Also am impressed with your doggedness and fashionable passion for the liberation of the people of South Africa from White supremacy and dominance. A fight which is seemingly inherent in you after the great freedom fighter, Nelson Mandela (of blessed memory) who engages the Whites against the apartheid. The struggle that birthed your independence.

More so, I must mention that your love for the black Africans is among the driving forces of my attraction and affection.

Your demonstration of love had successfully brought a sense of belonging to the black Africans, especially the black South Africans.
Sir, I salute your courage and compassionate leadership style!

Refers to the above underscoring matter, is the crux of my writing.
Sir, it is rather unfortunate that the brotherhood blessing is becoming sour day after day with a new word been introduced into our peaceful and serene Africa called XENOPHOBIA.
This syndrome would not have been a challenge to us if human lives were not at stake, but the lethality it put, necessitate this submission.

Records has it that about 118 Nigerians had so far lost their lives in different attacks years back in which some were 'alleged' to been killed by South African Police. (All connected to this Xenophobic attack).

While we mourn our brothers and sisters that had fallen victims to this heinous act and still nurturing the pain it has caused for the years under review, with the hope that no further attack occurs, we were blown by another enervating news on June 13th, 2019.

The killing of Mrs Elizabeth N. Chukwu, one of our sisters who was a delegation of the Federal government of Nigeria. She was murdered in her hotel room when she visited your country for a conference of the African Insurance Organization (AIO).

It is of grave concern to us as a nation looking at the incessant killings of innocent Nigerians sojourning in your land for businesses, education, recreation, or administrative purposes etc. Also, for some of us, South Africa is our dream country to visit, but how can we visit when it is hostile to us?
Our people said in the African proverb that " when brothers fight to death, a stranger inherits their land". Africa continent is our land as rightly put in the words of the Afro-optimist and great leader, Prof Patrick Lumumba that ''African countries are imaginary boundaries''. Our geographical location is secondary. Therefore we are one Africans possessing one land and must learn to live together.

To this end, as noble leader and fighter of good course for the blacks, I kindly request you engage your people and importantly perpetrators of this xenophobic act(if identified) to learn and embrace their brothers and sister around Africa, especially Nigerians.
There is need to inculcate in ourselves the culture of love for one another so as to replace Xenophobia with Afro-philia( love for fellow African).

Let me say here that my note is not an indictment of the people of South Africa or your noble self and the Parliament, but an appeal for your kind consideration to look into the matter with the aim of forestalling future occurrence.

Moreover, I want to submit that you join forces with your government to investigate the murder of our dear sister which Nigerian government had earlier requested.

Finally, am not oblivious that as developing nations, we are faced with varied internal security challenges, especially in my country but I am positive is just a phase we are getting out of it very soon.

I wish to reiterate that I write to you directly because you have unashamedly demonstrated competence in protecting the right of humanity against marginalization and injustice. Thus Nigerians are entitled to right to life in South Africa just the way
South Africans in Nigeria are thriving wealthy and healthy. And they shall continue to enjoy the hospitable nature of Nigerians.

Thank you in anticipation as you take action to move a motion concerning the killing of Nigerians and press address soon against this onerous act.

Warm regards from the people of Nigeria republic.

Yours faithful,
YILLENG VICTOR WAKSU,
