Could South Africa please enact a law in Parliament that ends the tendering for public works and privatization of government properties? Tendering employs fewer employees at the expense of employing more employees. Tendering opens windows for corruption, theft, greed, extortion, blackmail, murder, unethical business practices, and so on.
The privatization of government assets tantamounts to daylight theft from the government coffers. This was the trajectory of the Apartheid government since the 1980s to date with, for example, Iscor > Mittal > ArcelorMittal, and South African Railways and Harbours > Transnet, Spoornet, and so on.
