Dear Minister Mabuza

I need advice regarding expungement. I am battling as a pensioner with a son who was not aware that he had a criminal record after being stopped in a road block with colleagues and they found one dagga cigarette in his car. He therefore was arrested as it was his car, but paid R100.00 admission of guilt fine. He did not know and was not explained that he could have a criminal record and now is battling to find a job. If you could forward me an email address I can forward the documents that I have forwarded to the President's office and all over the DOJ. Minister Lamola recently had an article in the City Press where he said that if you paid an admission of guilt and did not go to jail, you can apply for expungement. It has cost me a pretty penny, money which I do not have, in the past to try and get this done to no avail. I am in a state as he is my only child and at age 63 with cancer, who can I leave the house to if he is not working to pay rates etc. He recently went for an interview and the recruitment officer told him that he passed with the best performance but could not get the job due to company policy. PLEASE HELP. Thanks Bev
