Representative Pandor
I write to you quite ashamed by your inability to utter a single coherent comment against Apartheid.
It's not gone. It happens daily for millions in Palestine and Israel. Yours is the responsibility of co-ordinating and communicating our nation's continued fight against the crime against humanity known as Apartheid.
1500 Palestinians in East Jerusalem have just been ordered to get the hell out of their homes and demolish them. Or be forcibly removed and made to pay for the demolition of their homes.
Have you issued a demarche? Have you summoned the Israeli government's ambassador? Have you quietly spoken to colleagues, friends and allies in the legal fraternity to launch a legal challenge at every body your august office allows you access to? Have you even summoned the palestinian Authority's amabassador to demand to know why his government is not leaning into the embrace of good friends like the Republic of South Africa to start fighting such inhumane and illegal activity withouyt firing rockets against the Israeli public who are just as gatvol of Benjamin's Netanyahu's pandering to the right-wing in a desperate attempt to cling to power and his continued endangerment of the lives of Israel's citizen's by his unwarranted actions?
Your inaction is complicity in the evils of the world. Nobody is going to read between the lines and say, "Ja, nê, that Naledi she kept us in China's good books and look they finally came through with some FDI that didn't just benefit our national elite stokvel AKA the ANC. We should be grateful for her prudent behaviour."
Because that's all that you are doing, and let's be honest - if we did get a massive amount of Chinese FDI in a deal shortly, the only ones it will benefit are you and your colleagues in SA's elite national stokvel (formerly reverently called the ANC).
Shame. Shame. Shame.
Yours in disgust.
