I would like to please request for some intervention with regards to our water crisis. We have been without water now for the past 13days. The designated tank where we can get water from when theres no water are empty but water delivery contractors have tankers delivering water that's being sold at 23cent obviously to those who can afford to buy water like this.

There are children's homes, old age homes etc many households that are struggling with this ongoing situation and councillors are saying it's been like this for years and nothing is being done. As per Lorraine who works closely with Allen Bosch claims that this matter has been escalated to national and parliamentary level. We desperately need the intervention as our constitutional right is being violated time and again and mostly to the Ramsgate South residents. This is a criminal act of violation and investigation into this should be urgently implemented. We are told of sabotage then we told one day that the water levels are 100% and the next day low. I cannot understand how it can go from one to the next within such short space of hours. We dont have proper feedback from our Councillor nor the people who work with him. It's as if they hiding truths from us. All we want is to have running water in our taps. Ugu water line pipes are bursting but no water in our taps, I may not be technically educated but I'm sure in thinking that if ugu line pipes have water then surely taps should be able to have running water. These water tanker that are contracted to ugu is making a killing with selling of water in times like this while residents sit without water. We have old folks that cannot carry water drums or have access to such areas to get water. PLEASE URGENT INTERVENTION IS DESPERATELY NEEDED THIS US DISGUTING AND REDICULOUS AND A DISGRACE ON THE DA SIDE TO ALLOW THIS ONGOING SITUATION FOR YEARS
