In our township we are struggling to get post delivered to us and one of the reasons is that at Fort Beaufort the post office is employing Alice people who do not care about us because they do not know us and so do not care about us. Suddenly now after the struggle Alice is made a factor and areas like Fort Beaufort with people who have scares all over their bodies after beaten by the apartheid Police when at Alice they are now comrades and treat us like apartheid spies. On Saturday I went to Post Office to post a letter. I went inside and I was asked what I wanted and I said postage stamps. I was told the post office is closed but I am inside. I went away. A huge majority of Fort Beaufort people are unemployed as all people employed in Government Offices are from outside. At Fort Beaufort since 1994 we never had an MP or MPL. When Alice had everything even local Government is led by people from Alice I do not remember Mayo from Fort Beaufort since amalgamation of Municipality. Only town has delivery of post. All positions of influence out of bound of our people. If one from our area as it is the case with the Mayor of Amathole are controlled by Alice. Any independent thinking person is not wanted.
