Please assist with my complain.

On Wednesday the 24th February 2021, my mother who is a pensioner age 70, had a problem with our neighbours who entered our house and stole the keys (Committed Theft). My mother went to Madikwe SAPS after 18h00 to log a complaint and the on duty Officers assured her that they will attend to the matter ASAP. The nightshift team did not attend to the matter and there was on Hand over to the incoming shift.

On the 25th February 2021 at 07h40, I contacted Madikwe Police Station and spoke with Constable Bogatsu, he did not intend to assist me but was so rude and told me his job is not to request handover from the outgoing shift. I asked him to transfer me to his manager which he transferred me to an empty office were no person answered. The phone went back to reception were he (Bogatsu) answered and I told him to transfer me to someone that I can speak with. I spoke with Captain Seleboga whom assist me and send the police to the suspects and unfortunately the suspects were not in their residential address and promised my mother that they will return later in the afternoon, which it did not happen. The suspects started attacking my mother and threaten to assault her. I called the Police Station again I was inform to contact the incoming shift at 18:30 due to there are no vehicle to be dispatched to Vrede Village to attend the matter and I phoned @ 18:50, the Officer told me they will attend to the matter same evening which they did not.

This morning (26th February 2021) again I contacted the police station and was still not helped.

My mother’s life is at RISK and the Police are doing nothing about this matter. This is not the first time we logged a complaint at Madikwe and we were not helped. What I need to know is why are we been treated in this manner. What if those suspects murders my mother what will happen, Will Madikwe Police bring my mother to Life or Not.

As a citizen of this country I also deserve an assistance from Madikwe Police Station and can the department attend to this matter please.

I am a worried child. And bear in mind I reside in Gauteng due to employment.

I find it very unfair for my mother not to be get help from the authorities, I believe Madikwe Police Station is there to help the community. What is different with my mother’s Case. It is okay for her to be bullied in her own house, she is been called a Witch etc and been threated to be assaulted by young girl and her boyfriend. And still the police are not taking this seriously or is this matter a Joke or what to Madikwe SAPS.

What we need is to be treated equal and justice be served. My mother deserve all the help is required as she is an elderly women.
