Dear Minister,

My son applied to the SAPS, was called in for police training and passed the fitness and psychometri tests. He was then called for an interview which he also passed. He was told they would be taken in January 2020. Unfortunately due to covid this was postponed and he is still waiting to be called. In the meantime, reservists are being taken in for training without doing the fitness or pscyometric tests. I understand they have a knowledge of the SAPS as they are reservists and you need to fast track this process to increase the number of SAPS members in the province. When will the applicants who have passed all their tests and are waiting to be called be told when they will be taken in? I appreciate your feedback. Thank you
