Good day,
My name is Lesego, 26 year old South African male...I have tried contacting as much people as I can to make aware the appalling conditions in which we have had to live, my apartment which i have been residing in for 3 years burnt down on the 17th of April 2020.All my belongings were burnt down to the last item I owned.

Not only have I no place to stay but no job either as I was retrenched by one Call Centre in Cape Town 2 months before Pandemic started...It has not been easy surviving as its also not easy applying for my UIF, I started working ever since I left high school and have paid my taxes and been an upstanding citizen since I was independent. I have no family and no place to go, the agent has not bothered giving us another place to stay and its clear that the rich white people who own this old building do not care what happens to us...as their insurance will cover their property but nothing is being done to assist us.
Their building has always been n issue an d they never serviced it since or before I moved in hence fire was started by electrical fault in which we almost died.

I have a lot more to say but do not know who to direct my grievances.
Every day since the incident I have up and down trying to find a way to survive and I think not only do i put myself at risk of this virus but others to if i were to catch it, but I cannot sit in one place and do nothing.

For me I feel i have lost hope in any leadership of this country and local municipality.
