I am a student at UJ and I was born in Mozambique in 1993 April 12. I did not come with a study permit to South Africa as my journey was unplanned. In 2016 I applied for a Permanent residence permit since I have been in South Africa for more than 20 years. My PR application is still pending and they told me to consult with the department of Home affairs. I tried another option while my PR is pending and they made it clear that I cannot acquire any temporary residence permit in South Africa since my PR is pending.
