Dear Minister Mostoaledi,

I write this email to ask for assistance in ascertaining the status of the above Permanent Residence(PR) application.

I applied for the above in June 2019,and I have been trying to ascertain the status of my application with no success.

I do understand and appreciate that there was a halt in the processing of PR permits during COVID-19 and that there is a huge backlog.However,there is a great uncertainty as to whether the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) is processing PR applications.

Having had visited DHA Pretoria Head Office, I was informed that DHA is not processing PR applications and that there are NOT a priority and,

Given the immigration crisis in the country, the continued delay in processing of applications is worrisome and it is for these reasons amongst others that I am reaching out for assistance in the processing of the above application (PRP2765794).

I should also add that since my application I have acquired a Bachelor of Accounting degree and was baptized at a local church.I have been in South Africa over a continuous 5 years and stay with my PR father.
