My partner is an official registered refugee from DRC and lives in SA for 18+ years now. At the same time she is waiting for her permanent residence for 2-3 years now to come out by the VfS. It would be important for her further career and also our relationship to plan ahead the next steps. She is a really talented, motivated young professional with a degree. Being a refugee without permanent permit is putting so many blockers and hurdles to her life and career despite being in the country for so so many years.
