I am trying to find out what is the problem with my granchildrens passports. Status check indicate that there is a problem with biometrics or images. After calling the Presidential Hotline I was informed that the passports are stuck on a code 040 but they could not say what it means or how the matter must be resolved. My son in law did enquire again at the office in Abu Dhabi and he were informed that the passports are being processed. The application were done on 26/1 and received in SA on 10/2. They have booked flights for 22/7 to fly out to SA for their holiday break. We URGENTLY need to know what the problem is and how it can be resolved please.
