Email sent over the last 4 years to Home Affairs only brought silence and no confirmed feedback. I'm writing again to request your resolution and fast track of this application.
Dear Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi,
I'm W Chiu, a South African citizen, would like to bring to your attention of my husband's LONG overdue Permanent Residence permit application. He submitted his application via VFS Global back in March 2017, it has been almost 4 years, while the website states the process only takes 8 months. To date, all the response we receive is “Application has been received".
The duration has now become a bit unacceptable as it is disrupting our life in the following way;
1. Instability on whether my husband will ever receive his permit, thus creating stress in our lives of not knowing when this will be resolved.
2. Preventing us from earning a livelihood as work permits are expensive to come by and businesses do not want to sponsor either.
3. We’ve been married for over 10 years and have a 9-year-old son, yet we cannot travel as a family since he has to queue in the foreign section when coming back home to South Africa.
We’re tried to call VFS and checking online regularly but only to get a response of “still waiting”.
Warm Regards,
Future replies will be published here.
