Subject: Urgent Appeal for the Release of Delayed Stipends
To:
Department of Basic Education
Department of Labour
BEEI Programme Management
Date: 07 October 2025
Dear Sir/Madam,
We, the Education Assistants (EAs) and General School Assistants (GSAs), are writing to urgently appeal for the release of our delayed stipends. We have worked hard, committed our time and effort to supporting schools and learners, and yet we continue to experience delays in receiving what we rightfully deserve.
It is deeply discouraging to see our hard work go unacknowledged through delayed payments. Many of us rely solely on this stipend to support ourselves and our families, and the continued delays are causing serious financial and emotional strain. Where is the transparency and accountability when such issues keep recurring without proper communication or resolution?
We are not asking for more than what we’ve earned we are simply asking that our stipends be released without further delay. We take pride in the work we do and the positive impact we have in schools, but it’s disheartening to feel neglected in this way.
We kindly request that the Department acts urgently to process and release the payments for all EAs and GSAs. We deserve fairness, transparency, and respect for the work we continue to do faithfully.
Yours sincerely,
On behalf of the Education Assistants (EAs) and General School Assistants (GSAs)
