NSFAS representatives are liars and deceivers, since March my application status is stucked on Awaiting Academic Results. I called them around April to check if my institution has submitted my academic results they said yes, and the institution sent me proof showing that they submitted last year and this year twice. I call NSFAS almost each and every week and told different stories, sometimes they would say they'll escalate the query, sometimes it's their technical system which they'll soon get it fixed, sometimes I should monitor the portal for the status to change, sometimes I must be patient since they recently fixed their system. This week I called them twice so that I can hear their different stories. The first lady called Bongi told me that the institution did not submit my academic results, then I said, "but University of Limpopo send me proof that they submitted ", she checked and say to me that the results that were sent only have 4 modules, I was surprised because I am doing 9 of them. So does the institution send results module by module?. I made the second call, the lady on the second told me clearly that they did not receive my academic results that is why my status is not changing, I immediately emailed University of Limpopo and they responded with the screenshot showing that my academic results were successfully uploaded. So if NSFAS does not want to fund me for this academic year, they must tell that straight instead of making me stupid. I don't want to write sad stories but yeah, I am going through a lot due to the delays NSFAS is causing. My annual household income is R20800 and yet I am expected to pay rent, food and stuff with my mother's pension money. NSFAS is promoting prostitution to disadvantaged students, NSFAS is promoting suicide to students due to the trauma we going through. My last call with them they said to me "why do you call us each and everyday, there's no one special just monitor the portal", how can monitoring the portal change my status while you not even willing to attend to it? Will I ever get approved for this academic year? Will I receive the full amount since the university is no longer responsible for the funds?
