I applied for NSFAS for the academic year 2020 to further my studies as I recently got accepted to study my Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy (one of the postgraduate qualifications eligible for funding by NSFAS), which is better known as Certificate in Theory of Accounting (CTA).

I was doing my BCom Honours in Financial Accounting (SAIPA accredited) in 2019 as it is seen, by SAICA, as a bridging course to move on to CTA.

As I tried to register on campus, I was told that NSFAS does not fund students who wish to pursue their 2nd Postgraduate Degree.

It is a misfortune for students who have a poor financial background to study further and equip themselves with what the market and industry needs with regards to the qualifications

Kindly resolve such issues.
