Dear Adv. Breytenbach,

For more than 8 months, I have been told by the Office of the DJP at the Pretoria High Court that there is no registrar for the Equality Court, which in effect means that this Court has not been operational for more than 8 months. I submitted my documents on 29 June 2023 and as I understood from the previous registrar this matter would be concluded within 6 months. However, more than 8 months later, and my documents have not been served on the defendants by the Court in terms of section 20 of the Equality Act. This is an untenable situation, which deprives me of my fundamental right in terms of section 34 of the Constitution.

Please advise, as to how this untenable situation can be brought to an end and my case can be processes. As I referred this matter to the Office of the Chief Justice in December 2023, in the hope of a solution, but nothing has happened, and I am still left without recourse.
