My complaint with NFSAS, is that the scheme has approved my niece for funding for 2019, he is currently studying at University of Johannesburg and he was admitted in 2018 Transport and Logistic Management and he got space on part time classes, and as a family we helped each other for him to have a resident just outside the campus so that he can go to classes for studying and have group studies with other students as they only have classes once a year as per Provinces. In 2019 he got an an approval letter for funding and only now he got a message that they will not fund him because his course is part time. In the first place he got part time due to full classes space constraints and to leave a child doing nothing for a year could cause serious problems for him. He decided to carry on with part time classes whilst staying nearby the University for studying purpose.

I don't think it is fair for the student to be approved for NFSAS and now he gets such messages that he cannot be funded. he is more frustrated now since he doesn't know if he qualifies for supplementary exam or not.

Please intervene and urgently assist the student to get immediate relief in this matter.
