Good day Ms Suckers. I have followed your parliamentary meetings and the questions you raise to Umalusi and also DHET on the senior certificates for adults and your concern is appreciated. As colleges were were told that Umalusi was phasing out Technical Matric N3. This was fine but during the 2020 year Covid affected some of the students and they were not able to write. Umalusi also could not manage to phase in NASCA but still continued to stop Technical Matric. Can they look into this and allow another chance for students who registered last year to write again and be given equal opportunity to finish their matric. These students some already have 5 subjects and are only outstanding one subject but unfortunately nothing is being done by Umalusi this year on adult matric even in 2020.

Whwn colleges asked for intervention on this to DHET, they told us the responsibility lies with Umalusi but no communicating structure at Umalusi that we can use to raise our concerns. Can this be solved and Technical Matric returned while they finalize and implement Nasca. Currently nothing is done on adult matric for the next two years.
