Dear Honourable Nel,

I am an active citizen, and researcher by trade, who has been trying to obtain basic information and data around the statistics of municipalities that have been placed under administration.

For whatever reason, this has proven to be virtually impossible. The information simply is not in the public domain.

Regardless of this being a disappointing fact in itself, may I request your authoritative assistance in obtaining this information - whether it be directly through a communication to myself or indirectly through a formal written Parliamentary question to COGTA?

This would be highly appreciated and may assist civil society in understanding our country's problems of local government.
