Dear Dr. Schreiber

I have a minor daughter aged 14 who resides with me.

Her dad and I (who are divorced) reside in different provinces (KZN and Gauteng respectively).

I desperately need to apply for her passport but for logistics.

Based on the fact that the DHA uses biometrics, can that process (minor passport application) not be streamlined where each parent goes to their nearest branch to conclude the process?

My ex does shift work so is restricted in terms of time to travel to Gauteng.

I am currently unemployed and on a very limited income so do not have the financial means for both my daughter and I to travel to KZN.
