Good day Minister
I am a Military veteran representative for SADF Militaryveterans Associations, at Port Elizabeth Military veterans Community and a resident, Honourable Minister we as the community lodge our grievances on the 20 November 2019 to the following stake holders about our grievances.

The stake holders present at the Meeting on 20 November 2019 were he following: Department of Military veterans, Department Housing Development (HDA), NHBRC, SAMWA. Human Settlement were not present.

Our grievances were following, the building contractor breached the building agreement, because they did not built the Military Veterans houses according the National Human Settlement's National housing specifications for Military Veterans, the contractor deviate from the original floor plan and all specifications.

The National Human Settlement requirements stated 50square Meters gross floor area, the contractor build the 50square the house size.

50square Meters gross floor area means between the internal walls not external walls as they built these houses. The contractor deviate from all specifications as been instructed in the National Human Settlement circular 2014.
because these houses have different square metres, and poor workmanship, like my house foundation is moving, so the Human Settlement instructions circular ignored.

I also believe that these Military Veterans houses is built on a non approved area, the approved plan is Bloemendal not Chatty.

We were informed by the Department of Military veterans delegates that the contract of the Contractor will be terminated by March 2020, but we experience the same contractor been given the same contract again.

We need your urgent attention to this grievance, because the Housing Development Agency( HDA) Port Elizabeth instruction to the contractor to start with the existing project while we are still waiting for the pending grievances outcome, and this contractor continue with the same deviations of specifications.
