Dear Dr. Motsoaledi,
As a medical doctor and surgeon who has worked at the University of Natal and was the former minister of Health of the Republic of South Africa I sincerely hope you can relate to my story and question.
As a medical doctor I attended the surgical department of Ngwelezana Hospital in Empangeni, Kwazulu Natal in an observer capacity from march to june 2022. This time has made a profound impression on me and therefore the professor of the department made plans for me to return with a valid voluntary work visa to do unpaid voluntary work in 2023.
Due to a very unfortunate set of circumstances outside of my immediate control I overstayed in your beautiful country for 1 month and 8 days. These 8 days caused a 5 year ban from your country for me. The request for waiving was denied in January 2023.
Could you please reconsider my undesirable status? I strongly hope that I can return to South Africa. I am eager to contribute my skills, knowledge, and experience to help make a positive difference in the lives of the people of South African hospitals. Thank you for your consideration and if it helps you can contact Prof. Dr. Oosthuizen from Ngwelezane Hospital. He will probably vouch for me as you can read in the included letter.
Copy to Mamokolo Sethosa with a letter of recommendation from Ngwelezana Hospital.
Yours Sincerely,
Syds Tjaarda MP 0924970
