Dear Minister…Thank you for the privilege to write to you. My daughter is in Grade 12 and has been in and out of hospital during the month of August, Having had surgery to remove an inflamed appendix. She was finally out by the 26th August and had been told by the Education department that she must write the Trial Exams. She has been physically recovering since then but we have also encountered the struggle of having to cover work that she missed. She has had to deal with the stress of having to learn on her own as well as cover what she missed. It’s impossible. Every Education head comes back with the same response…she has to write. Please help us minister…How do we help our daughter? She has done her SBA’s but the Trials are a lot to handle. My daughter is an above average student but this has really put us in a bad place. There must be some kind of assessment plan in place? She wants to write her finals this year.
With much appreciation, Mr Kroutz.
