Dear John Harold Jeffrey,

I am glad that you made an unannounced visit to the Master of the High Court in Cape Town to warrant some serious looks into the areas. It is about time at last.

My deepest frustration, as a deaf person, whose mother passed away in June 2016. Her deceased estate affairs dragged on and on and on till 2022, which we are talking about six years. The service here is extremely appalling. It is a pure shame that the case should be wrapped between 12 - 18 months, but we are talking about cases that go beyond the min period. We cannot afford to trust this type of service. It really points to the people working at the Master of the High Court, Cape Town as I gather.

I really hope that the level of service delivery in both speed and consistency or transparency can be improved over time.

I like to quote from Proverbs 31 verses 8 - 9,

"8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
9 Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy."
