You were the Freedom Front's Election Officer before so you might be able to help.
It's such a relief that the president announced the date for the next local government elections so we don't have to worry that it's being derailed by some badly-performing parties using Covid as an excuse. Thumbs up for President Ramaphosa's uncharacteristic decisiveness!

However, now the really difficult part begins; it's simply no longer possible to vote for the DA; they've crumbled and as an official opposition, let us down in our darkest hour! No one is going to trust a party of which the leaders can't get along and it's high time Mrs Zille learnt that the whole is bigger than its components, no matter how smart or clever one of those components might be....

This, while the Freedom Front seems to be growing! It's easy to understand why - people are desperate for accountability, order, and for basic things to FUNCTION! Things like roads, railways, water and sewerage plants, drinking water - law and no more lawlessness!
We are drained from ANC cadre deployment, EFF slogans and DA infighting.
The FF Plus seems to be made up of leaders keen and able to govern properly: without racial bias, inclusive of brown, black and white South Africans and intent on enhancing, not ruining (as is presently the case) citizens' and communities' daily lives.

So to vote for the FF Plus in October feels right.... except, does the party strive to have a separate homeland for Afrikaners?
Because, although I'm Afrikaans-speaking (with an English married surname) and my culture and upbringing is Afrikaans, I have no desire to live in a separate homeland away from my fellow South Africans of all colours and creeds. In fact, I'm South African, not an Afrikaner - I want to live among my fellow South Africans, not away from them.

Do you think, Mr Wessels, the Freedom Front Plus might be a suitable political home for me, and people like me, post October's election?
