Dear Minister Creecy,
I am in need of your urgent assistance, as an expat living in The People’s Republic of China, I need to obtain my temporary drivers license to drive my vehicle for my vocation. As per the law of The Republic of China, I am required to have a valid South African drivers license card (which I should have by now) and a valid visa to obtain the Chinese temporary drivers license. I so far only have my South African temporary license.
The unavailability of the machine puts me at a crossroads since I am unable to get to work and perform my duties, and it has been quite frustrating since I did my license on January 29th of this year. It has been more than 12 weeks of waiting.
How can South Africans abroad be helped in this situation?
