Dear Dr Blade Nzimande
I am currently a student at the University of Zululand, I write this letter to inform you of the proceeding that have been taking place at school understand the rule of administration.
We were informed yesterday evening that the university has decided to go against your word, as to what you spoke of on national television. A meeting was held by the Senate at 08h00 yesterday and decisions that are not beneficial to the students were made.
Such as: only Nurse & science students are going back to campus but on your statement it was said that all final students.
There will be no data given to students because we are using Moodle which is zero rate date but that is a lie, some of us are not able access to Moodle, we have to use data and some lecturers sent videos that needs data. We are not the only school that uses Moodle but yet others are getting the data.
It was also said that the laptop that you said we will get, we won't be given because in February we were given R5000 (not R5200) to buy study materials. As students had to choose between a laptop or Books because we can't buy both and all Universities got that money but you won't see them saying such thing .
They told us that we will be getting a USB and hardcopy, the question is where am I going to use that USB since I don't have a laptop and won't be given one?
The students have planned a non-Violent protest on the 16th because their needs are not being heard.
Please help us save Unizulu
