He is a dangerous man who poses a continued threat to society. How on earth can it even be a consideration that a man like Donovan Moodley be released onto the streets of South Africa?

The Matthews family’s ongoing trauma confirms the lasting harm caused by his evil actions. His utter disregard for a beautiful young woman who had her whole life in front of her is beyond shocking.

Releasing Donovan Moodley would not only dismiss the gravity of his crimes but also send a dangerous message in a country already grappling with widespread femicide. The safety of women in South Africa is paramount, and the courts must take a firm stand against perpetrators of such violence. Keeping Donovan Moodley behind bars is a necessary step to protect women and confirm that femicide will not be tolerated. Ever!
