It is shocking to see the apathy and blatant disrespect officials have for the public at the Lebombo border post. The lines are extra ordinally long as it takes more than 2 hours to clear into or out from South Africa. On the Mozambique side the time is approximately 5 minutes.
Its embarrassing to see elderly, pregnant and little children standing in these queues.
In addition, it feeds the "runners" who prey on us to pay them so we can "jump" the queue.
Indicative of the corruption that trickles all the way down the government payroll hierarchy.
I opted to travelled through Swaziland so as to avoid this mess.
