Dear Angie Motshekga (Min of Ed)
I want to express my utter disappointment visa vie ,your introduction of forced CSE into the syllabus, starting 2020.
Your threatening manner in which you laid down the "LAW" smacks of total disrespect toward Educators,Parents and Learners alike.
Your absolute disregard for the affected parties concerns regards the CSE syllabus ,leaves a sour taste in ones mouth and may result in a backlash on a scale that you did not expect. You are dealing with disgruntled Parents and Educators as well as scared and uncertain learners of all ages..
Images and material are of a soft pornographic and suggestive and very disturbing nature.
That being said ,let me remind you of more important issues and UNRESOLVED cases on your desk.
The Constitution Section 28 says the following :(Extractions thereof)
1. Every child has the right ,
ii) place at risk the child's well-being, education, physical or mental health or spiritual, moral or social development;
ii) treated in a manner, and kept in conditions, that take account of the child's age;
2. A child's best interests are of paramount importance in every matter concerning the child.
3. In this section "child" means a person under the age of 18 years.
(These are all self explanatory)
The CSE does NOT adhere to these basic rights of minors. Your interpretation of Section 28 definitely differs to that of Parents and Educators?

I am going to outline a few incidences that require much more attention and intervention, which you and the ANC Government, has yet to remedy.

PIT TOILETS:2015-2019
Four Lives has been lost and countless fell into pit toilets.
More than 4,500 schools have pit latrine toilets, out of almost 25,000 nationwide.
Many are made from cheap metal, are shoddily built and left uncovered.
Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo provinces are among the worst, says Education Minister Angie Motshekga.
TO BUILD BRICK AND MORTAR TOILETS FOR AFFECTED AREAS WITH PIT TOILETS WILL COST THE GOVERNMENT R6.8 billion.
What ,if anything, has your Department done to implement this?Or is safety of our children not important.
Countless unsafe schools ,force Educators to teach our children under trees !!!
RAPE STATISTICS IN SCHOOLS:2010-2019
It says in Section 12 that each person
has the right to bodily integrity, and to not be treated in a cruel, inhuman or degrading fashion. This should be read with Section 10, which says that each person has the right to dignity. This means that all other learners and teachers at your school must not interfere with your body in a way that hurts you physically or emotionally.

Durban 21
Gauteng 21
Eastern Cape 15
Western Cape 15
Limpopo 9
Free State 8
North West 4
Total 93 KNOWN cases .......2019.
A myriad of cases go UNREPORTED,in fear of bullying and intimidation.,and reprisal
Both boys and girls are raped.
The South African government has not made available to all victims of sexual abuse, a system of comprehensive, coordinated, and effective assistance.?
Acts of Violence and intimidation against Educators And Learners
Violence in schools has garnered considerable media attention in South Africa in recent years. In the past year alone, local media coverage of brazenly violent acts – which have at times proven fatal – have again fueled public opinion that school violence in South Africa is escalating at an alarming rate.
What is your Department doing to eradicate this scourge.?
Violence and abuse figures:
1,020,597 learners had encountered violence at school. (The stats are for 2018)
So Madam Minister ,do you not think that you have more urgent matters to attend to,as opposed to brainwashing innocents?
Do NOT think our silence is acceptance,as we all know that pulling the tail of a lion will eventually result in a backlash.
We the concerned parents ,advise that your Department rethink the introduction of the CSE into Schools,
Let this open letter serve as a reminder ,that when the ANC burnt the passbooks in defiance against the Government of the day,the campaign worked , so please be aware that History does not repeat itself.
Deeply concerned citizen.
