Dear Mr Nodada
I am a parent of a learner at Cultura High School, in Bronkhorstspruit , which has been engaging in corrupt and unethical practices since my child has been a learner at the school in 2023.
Yesterday, 05.05.2025, the school issued laptops to learners without chargers, after learners refused to accept them for the past three months due to them not having chargers. The school issued the laptops to the learners and said even if the learners are not going to use them, they must take them home and will bring them back at the end of the year. This is obviously a strategy to 'tick the box's and lie to the department that the learners have been issued with learning materials. The forms which the parents were supposed to sign to acknowledge the issue of the laptops were signed by the learners at the schools, with the school forcing and instructing learners to forge their parents' signatures.
Similarly, at the beginning of the year the form that is supposed to acknowledge the issue of text books was sent to parents completed with lies, that all text books issued were brand new, however, when parents completed the forms with the correct information pertaining to the condition of the text books, majority of which were in a very poor condition, the school refused to accept the forms, because the forms reflected the truth and not the 'brand new' text book lie that the school wanted the parents to sign for.
It is my request that this corruption be reported, investigated and punished as a matter of urgency as this directly impacts the value of education our learners are receiving and ultimately contribute to poor performance.
