Dear Hounerable Minister Siviwe Gwarube

Trust this text finds well and in good spirit,

The matter refers,

My nephew Zethembe Msomi and other learner failed grade 12 in year 2022 at Ndela Secondary School in Kwa Zulu Natal,

In January 2023 Zethembe Msomi and other learner decided to back to school and start at grade 11 ,

They find school as they were admitted at Ntabane High School in January 2023 as grade 11 learners,

It must be noted that during their admission at Ntabane High School they changed some of subjects they failed in grade 12 during year 2022,

They passed grade 11 again in year 2023,

They started grade 12 again on January 2024,

Now the problem begins in May 2024 as Department of education forced the learners to study subjects which the leaners changed in January 2023 when they were admitted to start grade 11 in January 2023

The reason given by department of Education to force learners to change subject in May 2024 is on the basis that the system of the Department is picking the mentioned learners with subjects they studied during their failed grade 12 of year 2022

As a guardian of the learner, I'm actually very embarrassed by this dictatorship and ignorance of Department of Education to force learners in May 2024 to change subjects of which they are expected to write it's final exams on October 2024

Please also take note that April 2024 I reported this matter in a form of WhatsApp audio to Kzn department of Education Minister Mbali Frazer ,

Minister Mbali Frazer escalated this matter to Mr Khanyile the Kzn director of Exams,

Mr Khanyile contacted me about the matter and promise to investigate and get back to me,

I must conclude by saying Mr Khanyile didn't get back to me about his investigation findings but the learners were forced to change subjects in May 2024.

I trust that your intervention to this matter will benefit the innocent learners that are being dictated by the Kzn department of Education.

Kind Regards

Mr Mpiko Sibusiso Msomi
