Since April 2023, SANBI has withdrawn the free entry into the gardens for members of the Botanical Society of South Africa (Botsoc). The more than 100 year agreement was nullified and SANBI introduced their own loyalty programme at R800 per annum. The current situation is that both SANBi and Botsoc are struggling financially.
My request is that SANBI reverses it decision and allow Botsoc members free entry into gardens.
