Dear Mrs Pandor
The Nation Builder team has been greatly inspired by your long-standing service in the South African parliament, as well as the success of the various departments that you have lead. We would be honoured if you would consider being a speaker at out 4th annual In Good Company Conference on the morning of 21 August in Pretoria.
Nation Builder is a platform that encourages and enables businesses to maximise their social impact by supplying them with expert resources, and connecting them to like-minded partners. We believe that business holds a significant piece of the puzzle when it comes to social upliftment, and we encourage them to partner with government and NPOs for greatest effect. (see www.proudnationbuilder.co.za)
The theme for our 2018 conference is “South Africa Matters”, with a focus on socially innovative business ideas that have come out of our country. We believe that enterprise brings about increased economic activity and opportunity. It plays a pivotal role in breaking the cycles of societal ills that many people face daily. The fourth annual In Good Company 2018 will highlight local social innovation solutions and fuel new, creative ways of doing business. It will bring together businesses of varying sizes that are committed to leading social change in South Africa through social investment. We will explore homegrown ideas that solve local challenges in creative and sustainable ways.
We would be honoured if you would share your insights on how you believe innovation should affect education in our country, and help businesses see how they can partner with government to bolster the progress of education in our country. We would allocate 30 - 40 minutes to your talk, and would appreciate if you would consider the option of a short, facilitated Q & A time at the end of your talk.
Our audience consists of roughly 200 people, mostly business leaders and owners, that want to use their business as a force for good and to expand horizons of opportunity in South Africa.
The conference is held at the Atterbury theatre in “The Bridge” centre in Lynnwood. The theatre will be set up with an AV system and projector, should you wish to use slides, pictures or videos.
Best Regards
