I am a South African citizen who is highly concerned about the illegal eviction that is taking place in Alexander township. My father who is aged 73 is a victim of being wrongly evicted by the Dudula's as they call themselves who is a group of Taxi owners that invade homes and take away the homes of families for their own pleasures and good living, On August 24th 2019 my father was taken from his RDP house that he has been living in for more than 15 years ,they came in without any eviction letter or letter of authority and they threw my fathers belongings out of his house,they broke the gate, broke down the door and even had stolen a few of his belongings . we reported the matter to our nearest police station which is Sandringham Police station and we were told that they are unable to assist us as they are afraid of them .we decided to replace the door at home and move the furniture back inside however we are afraid that this wont end as we were threatened by them and told they will not stop until they get my fathers house which leaves us in a very disgustful state my father is old and this is very disturbing because we basically have no one to protect us as the police is afraid to intervene in this matter ,there we plea for your help we cannot fight them on our own they are heavily armed and dangerous man, please provide us with help.
