Dear Mr Schreiber
I was born in 1957 to South African parents who worked and lived in Rhodesia (as it was then known). We moved back to South Africa in 1963 and I have lived here ever since. I have a South African identity book, but have not been able to obtain the new identity card as I was not born in South Africa. Please could you explain why this is and advise when I will be able to obtain one.
