Dear Minister

Firstly I want to thank you for working hard to get through the backlog of Permanent Residence Applications. We appreciate all your efforts.

My husband applied for his Permanent Residence in July 2022. We have been married since 2016 and have two children, aged 6 and 2, both of which are South African citizens. We completed the application through a law firm in Cape Town to ensure all documentation is correct. My husband owns 3 apartments and 2 houses in the Western Cape region and we are wanting to relocate back home but can only do this once his application has been approved.

How much longer can we be expected to wait for his application to be approved? The time indicated on the website is 12 to 18 months. We have been waiting for 2 and a half years now.
